Dualcomm patented 24-Port CableShare Ethernet Switch (Model No. DCES-2448) is a rack-mountable 24-port unmanaged 10/100Base-T Ethernet switch which enables cable sharing capability by carrying two Ethernet connections over each connected network cable.
DCES-2448 can be used as a regular 24-port unmanaged fast Ethernet switch. It also can easily be set up for connecting two terminal devices such as two computers by one network cable, which saves significantly the cost of cables and the associated labor. Especially, DCES-2448 provides a simple and cost-effective solution to create a dedicated Voice LAN over the network cables of an existing local area network (LAN) to support VoIP telephony communications, by which the voice traffic is physically separated from the computer data traffic to ensure satisfactory voice quality.
